Have you ever wondered which stores offer price matching? Many stores advertise that they have the best prices, but some are willing to go as far as to say they will match, or even beat, other store’s prices. Here’s a list of stores that offer price matching to help you get the best deals and save!
- Walmart: Walmart advertises that they’re “committed to providing low prices every day.” Walmart will match prices on BOGO ads with a specified price, competitors’ ads that feature a specific item for a specified price, preferred shopping card prices for specific items that are in a printed ad, and for fresh produce and meat items when the price is offered in the same unit type. - Target: Target’s price matching policy is similar to Walmart’s, except with Target you must bring the competitor’s original ad with you to receive a price match. If you already made a purchase at Target, you can still get a price match within seven days of your purchase by bringing in the competitor’s ad and your Target receipt. Full policy here.
- Best Buy: Best Buy retails stores will match competitor’s prices when you bring in the original ad. Best Buy online does not offer price matching, but will refund you if you find a lower price on BestBuy.com or in a Best Buy store within the item’s return/exchange period. Full policy here.
- Staples: Staples will price match any identical product that you find for a lower price from a local competitor within 14 days of your Staples purchase. They will match online prices from Staples.com, but not from any competitor’s online stores. Full policy here.
- OfficeMax: OfficeMax has a similar price match policy as Staples, except that Staples.com will match prices from other online stores as well – you just have to fill out an online price match form. Full policy here.
- Office Depot: Office Depot offers a pretty liberal price matching policy. They will price match other retailers, as well as competitor’s online prices. Full policy here.
- Sears: Not only does Sears match competitors’ prices, but the will give you an extra 10% of the difference. To get this awesome price adjustment, you do need to have the original competitor’s ad with you. The item you are purchasing must be identical to the one advertised. You can receive a price match within 14 days of your Sears purchase. Full policy here.
- Home Depot: Home Depot boasts that nobody beats their prices. Similarly to Sears, Home Depot will match competitors’ prices and beat them by 10%. Restrictions state that the item must be in-stock and the price match guarantee excludes special orders, bid pricing, volume discounts, open-box merchandise, labor and installation, sales tax, rebate and free offers, typographical errors and online purchases. - Lowe’s: Lowe’s also promises to beat competitor’s prices by 10%. Lowe’s will also match percentage discounts. Lowe’s price matching does not apply to installation labor, competitor’s closeout, special orders, discontinued items, clearance, liquidation, or damaged items. Full policy here.
- Nordstrom: Unlike most price matching policies, you must call (888) 282-6060 and talk to a representative in order to receive a price match from Nordstrom. The actual policy is rather vague, but states that Nordstrom is “committed to offering you the best possible prices.” The item must be the same size and color and come from a similar retailer.
